RCHK's Book Week 2023, the first with virtually no COVID restrictions in four years, took place under the theme "Creators R Us". Its signature events — the Golden Ticket Book Hunt, Creative Competitions, and the BOB showdown — could finally run full-scale.

Lately, you might have noticed that talking to your friends during lunch has become a lot easier. You might be feeling less cramped up, too. There’s been a new change across all eating areas. Those pesky dividers? Well, they have finally been demolished.

On January 20, 2023, the RCHK secondary community gathered in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) for the annual Lunar New Year assembly, a celebration before the Lunar New Year holiday. Due to the pandemic, it was the first whole school, in-person assembly held in quite some time, which made the atmosphere all the more electric.

On January 11th and 13th, 2023, Year 9 students attended the Design-English Oscars event, where the most outstanding stop motion animations and written memoirs were given Oscars-like awards.

If you’ve been eating at the cafeteria for the past few days, you may have noticed a few things. The freezer is humming with desserts and drinks; the table dividers have been spirited away; and perhaps the biggest change of all—the plates are back, with a plan to dominate lunchtime once more!
